Just three months after his 17th birthday, LeBron “Bronny” James Jr. is already looking to build his own entrepreneurial empire.
Josh Gerben of Gerben Intellectual Property took to Twitter on Wednesday to reveal that Bronny had filed three trademark applications for a “BJ JR”, “BRONNY” and “BRONALD” logo. According to Gerben, LeBron James’ eldest son plans to “launch a brand of NFTs, apparel, and video games.”
According to Boardroom, each trademark has been registered for use in the following areas: “Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Crypto Tokens; downloadable media files containing artwork, text, audio, and video related to sports, athletes, and music authenticated by NFTs; clothes and clothing; minting, creating, promoting and distributing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and crypto tokens, including for use in an online marketplace; entertainment services, namely, providing online video games; and entertainment services in the form of production of multimedia content for online viewing, television and cinema.
A high school junior at Sierra Canyon, who is ranked No. 14 in ESPN’s Top 25 High School Basketball Rankings, Bronny is currently ranked as the No. 34 rookie and No. 6 combo guard in the rankings of 247Sports class of 2023.
In January 2020, LeBron James was asked if he would ever consider teaming up with his son in the NBA.
“My son is in ninth grade, man,” LeBron said. “[He’s] trying to worry about the project he has to hand in tomorrow. This is what worries us at the moment. This is what is most important. School, home, and being the best big brother you can be.
