Genshin Impact: How to Get Collei for Free

Genshin Impact 3.0 brings a handful of new characters to the game, including 4-star archer Dendro Collei. Although players can remove her from Tighnari’s banner, there is an even easier way to get her character without spending anything. You can get Collei for free through the limited-time Graven Innocence event.

While you can access the event immediately via the quick start option on the event overview page, it’s best to complete a few prerequisite quests beforehand to get the full experience. You will need to be at least Adventure Rank 20 to access the Graven Innocence event.

As noted in the Genshin Impact event menu, if you choose to start the event early before completing the prerequisite quests, some characters may be busy with other quests, affecting your experience.

4. After chatting with local artisans, return to City of Gandharva find a well-known children’s author.

5. After a brief cutscene just outside Gandharva Town at the quest marker, you will receive collei.

Pre-quests

If you don’t want to complete these quests first, you box Quickstart Graven Innocence, go to Port Ormos and pick up Collei in Gandharva Town.

Additional comment is to help Collei with some menial tasks in Avidya Forest. You’ll need to check some path lamps and clear the statue of the seven nearby. This quest occurs after starting the Sumeru Archon quest, entering the nation, and passing out after following a strange person into a cave. Once you wake up, you will find that Tighnari and Collei have helped the traveler to his residence, which initiates further observation.

Chronic disease occurs immediately after Additional Observation, and the traveler will need to collect lotuses for Tighnari to craft medicine for Collei, who suffers from a rare disease found only in Sumeru.

After collecting them, Tighnari will need help clearing a wilt area, an area where plants and animals have begun to die due to a mysterious phenomenon known as wilt. To clear these areas, you’ll need to summon Dendrograna from nearby plants and hit the red withered branches with charged attacks. Just be careful to avoid the ranged attacks that the branches launched afterwards.

You will then speak with Tighnari back in Gandharva City, who will tell you to bring Haypasia, the woman you followed before passing out earlier, some food after her meditation. Once you find her, you will need to complete a domain with an Abyss Herald at the end.

Now all you have to do is meet up in Gandharva City and say goodbye to Collei before heading to Sumeru City.

The Path of the God of Wisdom begins in the city of Sumeru, where you seek information on how to contact the Little Lord Kusanali, the current Dendro Archon. After talking with several people and completing the quest, you can start The unknown sculpture as part of grave innocence and get Collei.

With Genshin Impact 3.0 just kicking off, there may be other opportunities down the road to get free characters without spending Primogems on a banner. Currently, players have until Update 3.1 on September 27 to earn Collei for free. She probably won’t reach S rank on our Genshin Impact character tier list, but that doesn’t mean she’s not worthy of your list.

As HoYoverse continues to update one of the best RPGs on Android, there’s still plenty of fun to be had in the new region of Sumeru, even though it still doesn’t support a good Android controller. If you haven’t jumped into the game yet, it’s completely free to play, though you may end up spending money on microtransactions to bring in the best characters.
