PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Sixers center Joel Embiid is in doubt for Game 5 on Wednesday night due to pain in his right knee. Embiid came off Monday night’s Game 4 loss at the end of the first quarter after suffering a brutal fall behind the baseline when his shot was blocked by Wizards center Robin Lopez.
Say it @ 973espn today that I had the feeling that Embiid would be doubtful for the match 5. Up 3-1 le #six should be able to deal with the series against the #wizards, and they need healthy Embiid for a longer duration.

He tried to keep playing, wincing and leaning during breaks before checking in and finally limping.

Embiid never returned and finished with eight points and six rebounds in 11 minutes.
He had an MRI on Tuesday, but the Sixers have yet to give an update.
The Sixers lost 122-114 and now lead the series 3-1.

Game 5 takes place Wednesday night in Philadelphia and it will be the first time Wells Fargo Center has had 100% capacity since before the coronavirus pandemic.
