Kevin De Bruyne back with Belgium for Nations League matches

TUBIZE, Belgium (AP) – A healthy Kevin De Bruyne was named to the Belgium squad on Friday for the Nations League semi-final match against France next week.

The Manchester City midfielder missed the recent World Cup qualifiers with injury, but Belgium coach Roberto Martinez included him on his roster.

Belgium will face France in Turin, in northern Italy next Thursday. The winner will face the Italian or Spanish European champion in the final on October 10 in Milan. The match for third place takes place on the same day in Turin.

De Bruyne missed the first part of the Premier League season with an ankle injury but has since recovered, starting for City this week in a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in their match. Champions League group.

Martinez called 24 players, including mainstays Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard.

Still injured, Dries Mertens and Jeremy Doku were not included and Thomas Vermaelen, who plays in Japan, has been excluded due to COVID-19 quarantine restrictions.
