Breakthrough Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II Bug

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords players have encountered a game-breaking bug in the new Switch version. It’s entirely new in this build, and because of that, there’s no way to progress to the finish line.

Aspyr, the company that brought Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords to Switch, confirmed the issue on Twitter. When a fan asked if there was no way to complete the title currently, Aspyr acknowledged that there was. However, a patch is planned and will be distributed “as soon as possible”.

As for the actual issue, the game appears to crash after the “Basilisk Crash” cutscene, which occurs when players arrive on Onderon. Unfortunately, it appears halfway through the game. And once players reach that point, there is nothing more they can do. Everyone will just have to wait for an update if they want to complete the game.

Glitches aren’t new to games and patches are often released to fix the issues. However, we haven’t really seen anything like this too often with Switch titles. Additionally, this particular issue never occurred in the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords on Xbox.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is currently available on the Switch eShop. The title launched as an eShop download on June 8.
