Evil Dead: The Game the first post-launch card comes from the army of darkness movie in the Evil Dead series, and this week players got their best look at the spooky setting that demons and survivors alike will traverse when it’s added this summer. The map in question is called “Castle Kandar,” and according to the game’s creators, we’ll soon find out more about not just that map but the accompanying update and when it will all be released.
When we last saw Castle Kandar, it was glimpsed simply through concept art that showed early ideas of what it might look like. These concepts have now turned into real business with the Evil Dead: The Game team showing the images below this week which provide two different shots of Kandar Castle. Both of these images were captured in-game, according to the tweet.
Whereas Evil Dead: The Game indeed has a season pass that guarantees future content for those who have purchased the add-on, you won’t need it to get this new map. Just like the Evil Dead: The Game the developers previously said when this map was teased before the reveal, this map will be free for players regardless of which version of the game they own.
Alright, you primitive screwheads, feast your eyes on the first glimpse of the game at Kandar Castle!

Evil Dead: The Game already had a solid foundation not only for an asymmetric game, but also for an adaptation of such a popular property, and as we mentioned in our review, that will continue to come down to things like this next map and the future DLC to see if it can keep up with the rapid responses and new content.
“Despite its jagged and toothy edges, Evil Dead: The Game remains one of the most pleasant surprises of this year so far,” reads an excerpt from our review. With some movement issues on both teams, each match is going relatively well. community feedback and features more downloadable content down the line, Evil Dead: The Game could solidify itself as one of the truly great asymmetrical horror experiences.”
Evil Dead: The Game The new map doesn’t have a release date yet, but we should get it soon enough.
