JACKSON – Week two of the 2021 Michigan high school basketball season has seen a plethora of high-level career performances and highlights, but only one player can be named MLive Jackson’s Player of the Week.

MLive and Jackson Citizen Patriot readers can vote as many times as they like by 9 a.m. Friday for the student-athlete they believe deserves the top spot for his accomplishments.

Below are our top 10 contenders for Player of the Week February 13-20.

Lexus Bargesser, Grass Lake

Bargesser averaged 30 points per game last week, including a 41-point performance against sixth-place Chandler Park on Saturday.

Zoie Bamm, Columbia Central

Bamm averaged 26 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks per game last week.

Parma Western welcomes Harper Creek to men's basketball

Trey Cottingham, West Parma

Cottingham recorded a career-high 30 points, including four 3-pointers and a 10-for-10 performance on the free throw line, in a 59-53 loss to Coldwater.

Shea Tripp, Michigan Center

Tripp averaged 18 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, six steals and one block per game last week.

Leslie vs Stockbridge Girls Basketball

Gwen Rogozinski, Stockbridge

Rogozinski has averaged 24 points per game this week, including a back-to-back 27 point performance, to lead the Panthers to four straight wins since their season opener loss to Chelsea.

Demarion Smith, Lac Vandercook

Smith averaged 22 points per game last week, including a 37-point performance against Grass Lake, to propel the Jayhawks to a four-game winning streak.

Abrie Cabin, Grass Lake

Cabana averaged 21 points per game last week and added a performance of 27 points, five rebounds and four assists against 6th-place Chandler Park.

Hanover-Horton hosts Grass Lake in men's basketball

Brennen Bargesser, Grass Lake

Bargesser averaged 18 points per game last week, including a 26-point performance in Grass Lake’s victory over Addison on Friday.

Layne Sleight, Jackson Northwest

Sleight recorded a career-high 21 points to help the Mounties to a 64-31 victory over Coldwater on Saturday.

Dawson White, Jackson Northwest

White averaged 17.5 points per game last week, including a 21-point performance against Harper Creek, as he continues to pace the Mounties.
